I once heard that doing estate planning is right above getting a colonoscopy on the list of things that a person desires to do. In conjuction with this sentiment, an Arizona law firm recently posted a blog on their website that shows all of the reasons why people choose to not get a will or take the necessary actions to avoid probate (essential elements of estate planning). While Arizona probate laws are vastly different from Ohio's (the fees for probating an estate in Arizona are not consistent with Ohio's probate fees), the reasons that are stated for avoiding estate planning are applicable for all Americans.
